Warning! This Post Contains Lots of Finishes!

Yep, we have a lot of finished projects this week. First off Magdalena had finished quite a few. The first is a lovely pink top for her daughter Zuzanna. As you can see she loves it as pink is her favourite colour. She also finished crocheting some pot holders which look fantastic. I would be worried they got dirty. Lastly Magdalena finished this lovely quilt for her youngest son. I love all the images on the fabric. He loves it so much he has been using it already.

Freya also had some more finishes for us. She is loving working with decoupage. She finished decorating this giraffe and this lovely box.

Miriam has been mainly working on cross stitch but she also tried her hand at knitting. This is her first attempt at it. Pretty impressive I think. She even managed colour changes.

Alison didn't get the chance to make bags at the craft day. So because of that and as a thank you for saving her scissors, Izzi made her three lovely bags.

Alison also had a finish herself and again this is from craft day. She finished the crochet sampler from Magdalena's crochet doily lesson. Looks lovely in pink.

Linda finished knitting these lovely cowls. At one point I thought people were going to wrestle her for them. I love the buttons added to them. These are going into her shoe box charity.

I don't know if you remember but Donna had a card making kit at Gartmore last year. She got it out last week and finished this lovely card. She hasn't decided who it's for yet but whoever gets it is going to love it.

Dawn Marie finished her second pair of socks! These are for her mum and as she already had them on her feet Dawn kindly allowed me to copy her photo of them (can't blame her mum). I love the colours in them. Fingers crossed Dawn will make another pair but this time for herself.

I kept going with my crochet lesson too. You can see Margaret here working on crocheting her squares together.

Margaret has actually finished enough squares to put together her cushion which is why she was putting them together.

Dawn Marie also had a finished square. I love these colours. Will look fantastic when they are all stitched together.

Roberta had missed the lesson the week before because she was being taught scrapbooking from Helen. So she started one on Tuesday there and finished it too. She kept to the same yarn which was a variegated yarn. Made for an interesting effect.

Elaine also finished her square. I love the black and white together.

A Little Bit Of Crochet!

Over the weekend Roberta has taught Alison to do some crochet. The above photo is some of her samplers.

She then used some variegated yarn and made herself this crochet case for her camera. I think that's amazing  progress in just a weekend.

I've also been doing a bit of crochet. I finished the granny square cushion which was from a Cath Kidston kit. I then made a circular cushion which I have since passed on to my mum.

Magdalena also had a finish. She knitted this beautiful jumper for her oldest son. I love the red and blue of the yarn. Now all her kids have their own lovely jumpers.

I also tried to teach some of the group how to do the circular granny square. It's really so that I can show people how to do the ridges when crocheting the squares together. Not sure I did a very good job but fingers crossed there will be some cushion covers by the end of it. Will be continuing with it for as long as people want to learn.

We also got our business cards which I handed out to everyone. I think almost everyone got one with a picture of one of their projects on it.

We're All About the Bags

Yep, we are all about the bags this week. Caroline has another great gift idea for Easter. She has been making these cute felt bags to give to friends and family. This one with the bunny she brought along already finished but was working on more.

She also had the fantastic idea of using cookie cutters as stencils. Personally I love this idea.

This is the bag she was working on on Tuesday night. The yellow chick goes well with the purple. The flowers also just set it off (big thank you to Lyn and the team at Hobbycraft for those).

She has also finished a blue one with contrasting stitching. These are all stitched by hand and beautifully done too. Caroline emailed me the photo's as they will be going to people this weekend. Last I heard she was working on getting more finished.

As you know Roberta has been learning to scrapbook. Helen has been showing her a different page layout every week. She made this bag to carry her album and goodies in. I love the fabric.

Margaret also finished her black top. Sadly we didn't quite have the weather for it this week but it does look good. She is now working on some socks which will be her second pair.

I was also working on stitching up this cushion on Tuesday. It's also an Easter present so I won't be able to bring it along on Tuesday to show everyone.

I also finally ordered some business cards for the group. We had some back when we were in Borders. Obviously the details on those are out of date and I have been meaning to get new ones for a while. They have our blog details on the back so they are ideal for handing out to new members. They have arrived and I will bring them along on Tuesday.
