Aileen's Baby Shower.

It was lovely to have so many "Previous Bumps" coming along to participate in Aileen's Baby Shower. Above you can see Esha beside Olivia, who will soon be a  wonderful Big Sister, and Bella who would love to have long flowing locks.

Olivia took a keen interest in all of the gifts and even had to give some of the clothes a try on. Most people were a wee bit camera shy this time round so I am unable to  name some of the present givers who showered precious presents on Aileen for her bump.

Margaret was unable to attend but sent her best wishes with a beautiful cape which was just a wee bit neat on Olivia. Janice acted as an assistant to Aileen by repacking the gifts.

Karen made one of her wonderful blankets. I knitted a hooded jacket and hat.

So sorry folks but I have forgotten who presented the snow suit and the bag of goodies including the bear cushion. Love that cushion!

Stephanie has been busy with her sewing machine and created this super cot quilt.

Toys for Aileen!

Norma crocheted this cosy pram cover in blues and greens. Lovely to touch.

Magda made a little cocoon for the the new born's first outing.

Elaine created this enchanting crocheted bunting. Such a great idea!

Izzy made one of  her world famous baby bags which also held a little changing mat. Aileen was joined by her sister, Sheena, who had come along to help organize the transportation of the gifts.

Olivia received some little gifts suitable for a Big Sister.

Aileen received a variety of wonderful ideas for herself and the baby. Oliver was fascinated with the ball that Caroline had crocheted. Olivia's cousin Charlotte just loved showing off her yellow wellies!

More wonderful items for the nursery. Sorry folks, I don't have a note of the names as I was too busy admiring the goodies.

Little Bella did not want to part with her gift.

Fiona Orr crocheted a sunny hat and matching bootee set suitable for a spring baby.

Ally made a wonderfully cosy wrap around blanket with a hood. It even had ears!

Phyllis created a sunshine shawl that was stunning.

Swati found time to hand paint a set of little vests with a variety of pictures. Such a great idea!

Aileen was overwhelmed by the kindness shown to her and her bump. She gave her heart felt thanks to all.

MORE GOOD NEWS!

The refurbishment work to the conference room etc has been delayed! Yippee! We can stay in our usual crafting home for at least 3 months.

To celebrate,we will have a SWAP NIGHT next week, Feb 24th. This allows you to recycle some of your crafting supplies that you did not get around to using. Someone else will give those supplies a good home.

Some people have requested a CAKE NIGHT in anticipation of the return of The Great British Bake Off. Please bring along some home baking on the 24th February. All diets are cancelled that night.

Happy Crafting!
