Possibly Not For Young Eyes!

Isabel is the first to finish some teddies for Val. After being shown how to stitch their faces by Laura it wasn't long before they were finished. Unfortunately Isabel has fallen for those little bears and is almost reluctant to part with them. Can't say I blame her as they are incredibly cute.

I managed to finish the socks for my gran. I also finished some baby socks for a friend using the toe-up technique Ginnie taught me on the weekend away.

And now the title explained! Remember Linda is taking part in the moonwalk next week in Edinburgh. She will be raising money for breast cancer. We have all be making things to attach to her bra. Elaine promised to make her something extra special and we have all been dying to see it all finished. Elaine has made Linda some tassels. They have even been covered in glow in the dark paint just to ensure that they will be seen on the night.

We have another member of the group learning a new craft. Roberta has decided she wants to take up tunisian crochet. She picked up some lovely striping yarn in oranges and a tunisian crochet hook. Laura then spent some time teaching her how to do it. Can't wait to see what Roberta makes with it. Possibly a scarf?

Of course the importance of the night was Magdalena's baby shower. Look out over the next few days as I will be posting a special blog entry with details of the night.

This Saturday we have another event. Magdalena's toddler group is raising money for their funds by having a craft fair at the local church. We have kindly been given some space. Elaine will be there manning the table with some of her own goodies to sell. Roberta has made some scarves. I have made some keyrings. Margaret has made some flower broaches. If you want to come along it will be in the Easterhouse Baptist church. Any members who want to add to our table we will be setting up from 9.20am (the fair starts at 10.00am).
