Babies, babies, babies!

Remember I said a few entries ago that we always have one of our group who has been busy? This time it was Margaret's turn. She finished off a baby blanket she was knitting for an expectant friend at work. After seeing Josephine's beautiful crochet blankets Margaret decided to attach ribbon too. It really sets it off. She also finished her second pair of socks and is planning her third already. Lastly she also knitted a little premature set for Donna's friend. Margaret then spent the evening knitting squares for our charity.

Stephanie has also been busy. After hearing Donna's request she managed to knit this lovely little premature sized cardigan.

Roberta finished this lovely premature cardigan on the night. This is also for Donna's friend. You can see from Donna's hand just how small it is. When finished Roberta moved on to more baby clothes.

These weren't knitted by anyone in the group but were picked up by Roberta at the charity shop she helps out in. She thought they would be ideal for Donna's friend. Donna was chuffed with everyones generosity and his stated this little boy might be small but he will be the best dressed.
I also had a finish. I finished the throw I was working on using regia sock yarn. It was knitted on the round in stockinette with increases at the four corners. Very easy to do. I spent Tuesday night working on Socks for my dad.

Ginnie was along but it was only to grab food and say hello so no knitting made an appearance. Linda was knitting a lovely baby cardigan. Elaine was knitting a baby cardigan to match the bonnet and mitts she knitted for Dawn. Magdalena was working on her lovely green shawl. It was so big she was using two sets of circular needles with corks on the ends to stop the stitches from falling off. Joyce was working on a pink baby top. Julia was back from the wedding (with some stunning photographs) and was working on her lemon top. Helen was working on some socks for herself. Donna was knitting some baby mitts. Janette was working on a beautiful green wall hanging. Monika was working on squares for our charity.

I received quite a few squares for the knit-a-square charity. After sending 58 away last week it's building back up again. I received some from Helen, Ginnie, Stephanie and Monika.

We were missing some of our numbers. Dawn Marie will be away a while as she is off to Jamaica this weekend to celebrate a special birthday. Sheena and Aileen were also missing. Understandable as Aileen was having her Hen night over the weekend.

It is now just over a week until we go to our Gartmore weekend. If anyone needs a map just let me know. I will have them along with me on Tuesday (put together by Ginnie).
